Everyone wants to achieve top position in life but only few of them achieve the desired position. Merely participating the race, one cannot win the race. One should analyze the type of the race, hurdles that may be the part of it, prepare for the race and then get into the race.
For going ahead in the life one must set his goal smartly. Achieving of big and difficult goals in life is really depend how you set the goals. I am giving you some small and simple tips to set and achieve your goals in life.
1) Your Determination
You should have firm determination about your way of life, the position you want to achieve in life. Let your goal become the dream of your life. Here I must quote the saying of our legendry former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam – “dream is not that you get in your sleep but dream is so something that don’t let u sleep.” A person with a strong determination and will towards his or her goals ,they often try to improve their abilities and skills. In other words everyone wishes to have their dreams get cherished, but one has to endure many sleepless nights to fulfill them, and must have passion to achieve them. It’s a bitter truth that everyone has to face problems, hurdles, and adversities in their life.
2) Set Time framed Goal
After determining about your goal of life set a timeframe for it say 10 years, 15 years or so, depending upon how big is your goal.
3) Break down your big and difficult goal
After setting a wider time frame for your ultimate goal, you should break it down in small and simple steps to achieve the goals. Again these steps should be time framed and clearly measurable. Let us take a simple example. If I am running a business having a turnover of 5crors and willing see my business of 10 crors in next 5 years, means I need to achieve growth of 20% each year, accordingly it can be break down on monthly basis or so.
4) Day to day monitoring and reviewing
Periodically it should be reviewed. If small targets are achieved easily, that means we have the more potentials then the set targets, we should work harder to achieve greater targets in coming months. If monthly result comes out lesser then the target, it will help us to review the reasons and remove the hurdles and recover the back lock in forthcoming months.
